SUMMARY OF FEATURES

Records original sound directly on Super 8 fullcoat magnetic film in sync with most fine Super 8 cameras and any l6mm sound camera. The camera must have a once-per-frame (1/F) contact switch (e.g. electronic flash PC socket), a pilotone generator or be crystal-controlled.

Cableless crystal sync operation as a location recorder with crystal sync cameras.

Sync transfers to Super 8 fullcoat (resolving) from original sync sound tape recordings. including cassette tape or quarter-inch tape systems, that use either digital once per-frame sync pulses or 6OHz pilotone sync tracks.

Sync transfers from the edited Super 8 fullcoat to magnetic edge stripe with Super 8 Sound sync projectors equipped with a once-per-frame contact switch or AC sync motor adaptation.

Sync transfers from magnetic edge stripe back to Super 8 fullcoat for editing single-system sound-on-stripe films, such as are made With the new single-system cameras Beaulieu 5OO8S, Kodak Supermatic and Ektasound, etc.

AC sync operation for transfers to and from l6mm mag film dubbers, AC synchronous projectors, and television film chains.

Multiple units can be ganged in sync for multiple track laying.

Sync transfers to and from stereo and four-channel quarter-inch tape recorders. One channel is needed for sync, allowing three dubbed tracks and mixing back to a composite master mag film track.

Meter indication of sync condition, record level (VU), and battery strength.

24fps standard sound speed plus 18fps amateur speed.

25fps, 5OHz, llOV/22OV export model available.

Variable speed and manual sync control for special effects, sound stretching, tight drop-ins.

Combines the basic functions of sync recorder (Nagra) and mag film recorder (Magnasync) in a single machine, at the price of a fine quality tape recorder or a first quality Super 8 camera. About the same size and weight as the Nagra.

Basic machine is the SONY TC8OOB, widely used in filmmaking as a Wild recorder.

Built-in electret condenser microphone. This microphone can be used as an unobtrusive slating system for documentary films. External microphone input and mixing switch.

Closed-loop servo-control drive system.

Automatic record level gain control, with two attack speeds -Voice, Music. override.

Positive sync indication. pilotone drops out, etc. Sync meter signals loss of sync if cable disconnects,

Battery-operated portable (12V) or AC studio operation.
